The flush cutting blade, and why it decides your purchase

Pass through connectors let the eight conductors run all the way through the plug and out of the front face. That is what lets you see the wire order before committing. It also means something has to cut those protruding wires off flush with the plug, or it will not fit in a socket.

A pass through crimper does both operations in one squeeze: it seats the contacts into the conductors and shears the excess flush against the front of the plug. A conventional crimper only does the first part.
